| Kate Forest, RYT,
is an Advanced Level Yoga Instructor and a Mindful Living
Consultant. She is the originator of Self
Care Yoga, a safe and effective healing style of yoga
and a contributing author to the book Yoga
in America in which she shares part of her journey as
a student and teacher of yoga. Kate educates the whole person,
helping him or her to manage stress and live a more healthy
and balanced life.
“In
my nine years of teaching yoga and mindfulness based stress
reduction techniques I have taught thousands of yoga classes.
For nearly six years I owned and operated a yoga center
in my hometown of Wilbraham, MA. I now teach onsite yoga
classes in gymnasiums, conference rooms, senior centers,
and wellness centers, teaching to students of all ages
and abilities.
My trainings and personal practice include yoga, meditation,
non-violent communication, stress reduction, and self-care.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga
Alliance as an RYT 500, with over one thousand hours
of yoga teacher training. My teachings and personal practice
have evolved into what I call Self Care Yoga, a healing
style of yoga with emphasis on the mind, body, breath
connection, and on bringing this connection into everyday
life.
My intention as a yoga instructor is to share the benefits
I have gained from my personal practice with others. In
addition to the practice of yoga, I offer students mindful
living techniques to practice outside of class, which
help them to integrate self-care and mindful living into
their busy lives. This benefits not only the students,
but those around them as well.” |
| “I believe that a healthier,
less stressed individual offers greater support and strength
within their family, their organization, and their community.
I also believe that living more mindfully, or consciously,
can enhance the health of the whole person, including physically,
mentally, and emotionally. These are the benefits that I
receive from my practice of Self Care Yoga and Mindful Living,
and these are the benefits that I share with students.” |
