| 4-Week Self Care Yoga, Mindful
Living and Stress Management Course |
The focus of this program
is on the Mind/Body Connection in relation to managing
one’s reaction to stress. Through a series of activities
participants will gain practical skills to help reduce
stress, increase patience and concentration, and enhance
physical and emotional well-being. Activities include
gentle and safe yoga stretches, mindful breathing techniques,
thought awareness exercises, and reflective writing prompts.
A weekly assignment will be given to help participants
incorporate these skills into their lives, and handouts
will be provided. Participation in this course can help
to build a sense of unity and respect within an organization.

| Yoga
and Walking Workshop |
Participants will learn a unique
way to combine walking, yoga, and stress management techniques
into one simple routine they can use daily to help keep
their body and mind healthy, balanced, and strong. Three
paces of walking will be covered: A natural paced walk for
getting from point A to point B, a brisk walk for enhancing
cardio and physical health, and a slower paced reflective
walk.

| Personalized
Individual Yoga Sessions |
An Individual Yoga session is
a wonderful way to learn about the details of the yoga postures
and breathing techniques, deepen your practice of yoga,
design a series of postures to practice at home, or to simply
practice self-care. Each individual session is tailored
to your needs. Sessions may take place at your location,
in Wilbraham, East Longmeadow or Springfield MA.
One hour session $85.00 |
As a late middle-aged business executive, my formerly strong,
athletic body seemed more and more unforgiving of any form
of exercise. An accumulation of minor injuries had snowballed
into a condition resembling complete physical breakdown.
I had stopped playing tennis because I simply could not
move effectively. Yoga? At this point, what did I have to
lose?
Kate Forest worked with me to put together a series of surprisingly
simple postures that uniquely “worked” for my
body and my daily routine. With only 30 minutes a day, the
impact was immediate and remarkable. Progress was enormous
and fast paced. Pain disappeared and flexibility increased.
Mental improvements in self-esteem and a renewed sense of
power and vitality were incredible. It was as if the strength
of my younger days had simply been bottled up by the increasingly
tight muscles and joints. The yoga exercises simply let
those powers out of the bottle and back into my life.
